The ABCi project week from May 30th to June 3rd 2016 at our school was a great success.
The English Teacher Training College and Bilingual Classroom Initiative (ABCi) is a non-profit organization promoting the use of English in Austrian classrooms with native-speaking trainers.
Twenty-seven pupils took part in this project consisting of 30 hours of intensive English language, sport and culture lessons taught by native speakers from England, Australia and Canada.
The project ended on Friday with a performance of the children’s work.

I liked our project week because
the native speaker teachers were very nice and friendly.
It was interesting and we learned
a lot of new things.
Game playing was great fun. I
liked the rehearsal work best.

Our three English trainers came
from Australia, England and Canada. They were very kind and patient.
I think everyone was really
interested in this project and had much fun.
We learned a lot about different cultures and countries and at the end we did a
quiz about them. The project also strengthened our group cohesiveness.
